A question for those who live in or know NYC?

I lived near NYC for a year, and we went into the city twice to sight see. Both times we took the sightseeing tour bus to get around. I only took the subway once, so I can't remember the cost, but I know if you take the double decker sightseeing bus, it hops on and off at various destinations, the ones you want and more. If you go online (link below) you can see which route goes where and their tickets are good for 48 hours. I would think this would be easier. Just my opinion. Good luck and have fun!
