Kindle ebook help.. OR FILE FORMAT CONEVERSION...?

I just got a kindle for Xmas. I want to get Forever by Judy Blume. I cant find it anywhere!! I downloaded a pdf form of it on 4shared, but it wont open on kindle. help?? Ps- i cant pay for anything...needs to be free. Thanks!
